Description
Parc de la Taïga features two kilometres of walking trails on Patterson Island, in the very centre of Port-Cartier. Discover the wonders of the boreal forest and an impressive waterfall on Rivière aux Rochers that thunders just metres away from you. In season, you can admire the skills of the fly anglers fishing for salmon in the twelve pools along the trails. The park is also a great birdwatching spot
During winter, the trail is ideal for a short snowshoe hike. Remember to bring some seeds to feed the chickadees and nuthatches that frequent the park.
