More than 500 kilometres from Sept-Îles, one can find the Innu community of Pakua Shipu, which means in Innu-aima river of sand. Until recently, nomadic Innu moved inland along the Saint-Augustin River to fish, hunt or trap salmon, trout and fur-bearing animals.
