Description
This village is famous for the songs of popular singer-songwriter Gilles Vigneault, the Les Galets heritage buildings, and the warm welcome it gives to visitors. Linked to the provincial road network since 1996, it is a cultural tourism destination, with the highlight being the annual Innucadie Storytelling Festival. A beach, rivers, and a walking trail await you. At the visitor centre, you can return the Sur la route de Natashquan road guide CD that you rented in Manitou Falls or Havre-Saint-Pierre. There, a brief audiovisual presentation provides an introduction to the village. On the beach, Café de l'Échourie is THE place for conversation and the occasional summer show. The city has earned two fleurons under the Fleurons du Québec program that encourages municipalities to beautify their gardens.
