A member of a network of 45 villages-relais (villages that provide a minimum number of services), Forestville is a gateway to the St. Lawrence. The Baie Verte (Green Bay) offers a stunning view of the river along with unique beaches, a campground, sea trout fishing, a small hydroelectric dam and a network of hiking trails.
A flume, a vestige of Forestville’s forestry days, will give you a glimpse into the life of the pioneers. Golf Le Méandre invites you to measure yourself against one of Côte-Nord’s most interesting 9-hole golf courses. Further along the Whale Route, you can explore Laval Bay, an exceptional seabird refuge that is also a site renowned for sea trout fishing and shellfish harvesting.
Forestville also hosts a unique cross-country ski race, the Boreal Loppet, over a distance of over 100 km (60 mi.). Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are also possible during the winter months.
