In the Manicouagan region, parallel forest roads provide easy access to four different rivers. Their amber-coloured water flows through deep mountain valleys and is home to Atlantic salmon and sea trout. The salmon in the Duplessis area’s 27 rivers are known for their fighting spirit. These rivers flow through deep valleys and into bays along the St.Lawrence, marked by small coastal villages. Visitors to Anticosti Island are amazed by how clear the river water is on the island.
