Located about 15 minutes north of Tadoussac on the Saguenay Fjord, Sacré-Coeur is a nature destination in the heart of what is known as the “biodiversity valley.” It is also on the Fjord and Whale routes as well as on the Route Verte cycling trail. The Baie-Sainte-Marguerite Sector is an ideal site for observing beluga whales in Saguenay Fjord National Park (interpretation centre, campground and Le Fjord trail).

The Anse-de-Roche municipal park is renowned for its views of the Saguenay Fjord. Scenery and sunsets can be observed from a variety of vantage points: lookouts along the river, wharf, gazebo, restaurant, etc. Enjoy the surrounding water during a sea kayaking excursion, fishing trip or relaxing cruise. Hunting and fishing enthusiasts can take advantage of the rich boreal forest in the backcountry, which extends from the Sainte-Marguerite River—a world-renowned salmon river—all the way to Bardsville.

This area has much to offer tourists in all seasons: farm tours, bear photo safaris, wildlife observation, hiking, cycling, a park, an arena, a pool, industrial tours, religious heritage, snowmobiling (Trans-Québec trails #3 and #93), dogsledding, cross-country skiing, a stay in an igloo, a stay in a tree house, beekeeping, etc.
