Renowned for its warm hospitality, Longue-Rive is a small village that stretches over several kilometres along the St. Lawrence River. Come and discover the area’s many treasures: hiking trails, hunting, fishing, cultural heritage, migratory birds, etc. Stop in at the tourist information booth and discover some of the village’s economic history through the remains of a sawmill dating back to the 19th century.

This is an enchanting place to have a picnic and admire the Sault au Mouton Falls. Follow the hiking trail that leads to the suspension bridge above the river then continue heading east to visit the village church. Next to this building, follow the trail along the coastline known as the “red rock” trail (Sentier des Crans Rouges), which is where the stones used to build the church came from. A local craft shop is also located nearby.

If you head further east along the Whale Route, you will reach the Salt marshes Center, which are the second largest such marshes in the province of Québec.
