Description
Sainte-Marguerite Bay is an immense body of water frequently visited by belugas throughhout the summer - these smalll white whales can be observed from a lookout over the fjord. Accessible to hikers and cyclists, the 3.2 km (2-mi.) self-guided trail to the lookout presents the history of the village of Bay Mill. Wide, well laid out and easy to climb, the trail winds through the undergrowth to the lookout. At the Beluga Interpretation and Visitors Centre, visit tje permanent exhibit, a fascinating source of information on beluga whales, their history and the importance of protecting them and their natural environment.
Several campground sites accessibles by hicking and cycling, nature shop and convenience store.
