Heritage Tour Guide (Students)
STUDIES
- Be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student at the post-secondary level in an accredited educational program for the Winter 2025 term.
OR - Be participating in an adult education or vocational training program at the secondary level managed by an accredited educational institution for the Winter 2025 term.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- French essential
ABILITIES
- Ability to communicate effectively orally
- Ability to deliver interpretive activities
PERSONAL QUALITIES
- Take responsibility

- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Hold a reliability status clearance.
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Be able to commute to the workplace and different work sites independently.
- The candidate must undergo a health assessment and meet the essential health and safety requirements of the position in accordance with the Policy on Isolated Posts.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires:
- Working shifts, including weekends and federal/provincial holidays.
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions in remote locations (archipelago islands), including the possibility of overnight stays in these isolated environments.
- Participating in daily sea trips aboard various boats.
- Wearing the Parks Canada uniform in accordance with the Parks Canada dress code policy.
- Using and transporting equipment (first aid kit, portable radio, backpack, etc.).
- Being willing to undergo training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
