In order to promote Québec’s agri-food products and knowing that 66% of tourists are often on the lookout for restaurants that serve regional delicacies, À la découverte des saveurs du Québec is a great way for restaurant owners to increase their visibility. Regardless of the type of cuisine, restaurants must use Québec agri-food products in one or more dishes in order to participate in the project.

This project is comprised of a recognition program, a printed guide of 400 000 copies, a web site, mobile app (dishes proposed by the restaurants’ chefs, restaurants’ logos and pictures of various restaurants are featured), and a major promotional campaign. Participation is free for all interested restaurant owners. All that is required is a bit of time and creativity!

For its 3rd edition, À la découverte des saveurs du Québec will take place from September 2012 to February 2013. The guide will be distributed as of September 3, 2012.

The guide has been developed in collaboration with the Association des Restaurateurs du Québec (ARQ), Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ), the Association de l’Agrotourisme et du Tourisme Gourmand, and Aliments Québec.
