The mission of Corporation de l'Île aux Perroquets is to preserve and develop the lighthouse on Île aux Perroquets in an environmentally responsible way that showcases its historical significance, seafaring heritage, and the special features that make it one of the Minganie region's top tourist attractions. Located 5 km off the coast of Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan, this one-time writer's retreat is of interest because of its unusual geomorphology, technological development, and the many seabirds that nest there in summer. During the summer months, visitors can immerse themselves in the island environment by spending the night at the lighthouse.
