Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre (Tadoussac)


A must for marine wildlife enthusiasts. 

Located in Tadoussac, the Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre (CIMM) offers an exhibition on the whales of the St. Lawrence and the scientific research surrounding them, as well as screenings and lectures. Welcoming over 35,000 visitors each summer, it is the most popular museum in Côte-Nord. Managed by the Marine Mammal Research and Education Group, the CIMM houses the largest collection of whale skeletons in Canada, with naturalists ready to answer your questions.

Côte-Nord Regional Museum (Sept-Îles)


A must-visit to discover the local history, the First Nations, and the region's unique environment.

Located in the heart of Côte-Nord and at the center of the cultural life of Sept-Îles, the Côte-Nord Regional Museum is a history and archaeology museum dedicated to preserving, studying, and showcasing the regional heritage of Côte-Nord. The museum's collection includes over 40,000 objects in the fields of fine arts, archaeology, ethnology, natural sciences, and photography. Built through more than thirty years of acquisitions and donations, this collection reflects the rich and diverse heritage of both the Innu and Euro-Québécois, as well as offering a window into Quebec and Canadian visual arts.

Archéo-Topo Centre


A must-visit spot for archaeology enthusiasts!

The Archéo-Topo Centre, located in Côte-Nord, is an essential destination for lovers of history, archaeology, and nature. With 1,300 archaeological sites spread along 1,200 kilometers of coastline, the region is one of the richest in archaeology in Quebec. The center offers an exhibition, updated in 2009, that traces 9,000 years of history, from the arrival of the first Indigenous peoples to the development of local towns and industries. In addition to guided tours, the center provides workshops, lectures, and a regional art boutique, with a terrace offering a view of the river.
