Manitou Falls

If you're heading to Minganie, you'll need to take the time to stop at the Minganie tourist stop. It's from this location that you can take a hiking trail that will lead you to a breathtaking landscape, Manitou Falls.

Anticosti

A true paradise for hunters, the island of Anticosti offers stunning landscapes for photography. Whether it's at Vauréal Falls or Port-Menier, opportunities abound. Plus, with a little luck, you may encounter one of the many deer that inhabit the island.

Rivière-au-Tonnerre Church

Whether by its interior or exterior appearance, the Rivière-au-Tonnerre Church catches the eye. Built in the early 20th century and restored in the 1970s, the building is located in an enchanting place just a few tens of meters from the sea and the boardwalk that runs along the water's edge at this location.

Maison Johan-Beetz

In the municipality of fewer than a hundred inhabitants, it's hard to miss the Johan-Beetz House, nicknamed the Castle. Built in 1899 by Johan Beetz, one of the major figures in the development of the small community, the Second Empire-inspired residence catches the eye with its colors and the fact that it overlooks the village.

Quetachou Falls

In the village of Baie-Johan-Beetz lies Quetachou Falls. To reach it, you must travel a forest trail of about 1 km. During this journey, you'll witness the damage done by fire to the forest during a major fire in 2013.

Maison de la Chicoutai

In the heart of the village of Rivière-au-Tonnerre lies the Maison de la Chicoutai. It's a must-visit to discover this small orange fruit that grows in the North. Many products are available ranging from jelly to butter or jam, and much more.

Interpretation Center of the Mingan Islands Research Station

In Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan, you'll find the Interpretation Center of the Mingan Islands Research Station, the perfect place to learn more about the marine mammals of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Thanks to life-size whale sculptures, murals, and the acoustic and video room, you can better understand the research conducted by the Center over the past 40 years.

Romaine-1 Power Plant

Located northeast of Havre-Saint-Pierre, it's possible to visit the Romaine-1 power plant as part of Hydro-Québec's newest hydroelectric project. You can admire the reservoir and facilities while witnessing the power of the water that will generate electricity.

Natashquan Pebbles

In the village of Gilles Vigneault, a stop at the Natashquan Pebbles is a must. Classified as cultural assets by the government of Quebec, these fishing sheds that have existed for 150 years are a testament to the importance of cod fishing in the village's development.

Roland-Jomphe Cultural Center

To learn more about the stages of Havre-Saint-Pierre's history, you can visit the Roland-Jomphe Cultural Center. Located in the former general store of Labrador Stores, you can observe many objects and photographs from the past in the context of the permanent exhibition "The Other Novel of the Cayens".
