Last summer, we developed a collection of stickers specifically for hiking enthusiasts in collaboration with Randonnée Pédestre Qc. The trails illustrated on these stickers were chosen with the help of Les Sentiers de la Côte, the experts in the region. The stickers are available at some tourist information offices on the North Shore and on the Randonnée Pédestre Qc website.

The dunes of Tadoussac

A must-stop during your visit to Tadoussac, the dunes are a vast playground, both for the young and the young at heart. The hike begins when you have fully enjoyed the beach at the bottom of the dunes and wish to hike back up to the parking lot!

The Glacial Lake

The majority of visitors who travel the Côte-Nord stop at the St-Pancrace Bay lookout, located a few kilometers from Baie-Comeau, to stretch their legs and enjoy the view. Few of them know that there is a network of trails nearby, including one that leads to Glacial Lake. This 7.5 km loop offers a magnificent view of Glacial Lake and the river. For more details on the trail, visit Les Sentiers de la côte.

TheUapishka Mountains (Groulx)

Located on Route 389 north of the 51st parallel, the Uapishka Mountains (Groulx) offer several intermediate to expert level hiking trails. The length of the trails varies from about ten kilometers to forty kilometers. Before venturing onto one of the trails, it is recommended to register at the Sûreté du Québec office in Baie-Comeau. For more details, visit the Uapishka Station website.

The Petit-Havre de Matamec

The Petit-Havre de Matamec trail, located not far from Sept-Îles, is ideal for a short family hike as the elevation gain is low. In addition to leading you to the old lighthouse, the 5-kilometer loop will take you through different ecosystems: the forest, the peat bog, and the coastline. For more details on the trail, visit Les Sentiers de la côte.

The Vauréal Canyon

Anticosti Island is a dream destination for hikers as it offers numerous trails with breathtaking views. The Vauréal Canyon and its legendary waterfall is a must-hike. The trail is just over 7 km round trip and you'll be surrounded by cliffs over 90 meters high. For more details on the trail, visit Les Sentiers de la côte.

The Mingan Archipelago

It's impossible to travel in Minganie without planning a stop at the Mingan Archipelago National Reserve. Hiking enthusiasts are well served with a total of 80 kilometers of trails spread over 9 different islands. For more details, visit the Parks Canada website.
